Perfect for quickly drawing on chalk boards to recreate pub-style signs or just add to a family shopping list, our pack of 4 White Liquid Chalk Markers are quick and easy to use. Simply shake, push and write straight on to glass, plastic, metal and ceramic surfaces. Once dry, the liquid chalk is resistant to fading or smudging and can be wiped off with a damp cloth.
These liquid chalk markers are suitable for use on any non-porous surface including chalk boards, glass, plastic, metal & lacquered wood. Please note that are not suitable for slate chalkboards or other porous surfaces.

I am happy to say that this product works great on the Memo board which was also bought. I would like to thank the personnel of Lakeland for their excellent service and assistance at all times.
I bought the pens after some research because the other reviewers had complained they were indelible and would not wash off their chalk board, as I intended to use them on real slate for out door slate signs in my garden. and I can confirm they do wash off, with soapy water, so you can amend what you have written or change it. Haven’t tested if the sign will fade or wash off in the rain yet. But excellent product for makeing slate signs. Thanks
I make a lot of jam so ordered the chalk markers as they seemed to be the answer to sticky labels that take time and effort to remove if you want to re-use the jars. Wrote directly on the jar and it looked fantastic, took no time at all and I was all set to order a whole lot more. But when I went to open the jam jar 2 days later just putting my hand round the jar and unscrewing it the whole text was wiped off, and no, I didn't have wet hands! Lakeland, please tell me what I did wrong, I really want to be able to use these markers but cant give them as presents with a disappearing text!

The buyer has commented: the surface should be dry, clean and cool before using the marker pen and should be allowed to dry for 5-10 minutes.Glass has no pores and the liquid chalk will come off slightly easier compared to other surfaces.However, if the surface is dry and cool before writing, then the chalk shouldn’t smudge off unless pressure is applied directly to the text. Also if the customer has written on the surface when the surface is hot (out of dishwasher), wet or the chalk has not been allowed to dry, this will increase the likelihood of smudging.
I bought these pens as I use a weekly chalk board for meal planning - the chalk I was using was getting smaller & smaller so I bought these pens which seemed perfect...However the chalk now won't come off properly.Previously I used a wet wipe on the board which got the original chalk off no problem - however I have now had to use a scourer & my lovely meal planner has been left ruined!!!!Even worse I sent a packet to a couple of my friends as they also use chalk board meal planners & I fear they are in the same predicament!Today I have gone & bought a packet of crayons chalk to

Just bought these chalk pens because I bought the Flower chalkboard for my fridge and thought I would need spares. Assumed that the pens were going to write properly when held vertically. But I can only get them to write very short words or part of a longer word before the writing starts to fade. For example I just tried to add ‘washing up liquid’ to my flower board shopping list and got ‘washing-u’ before the white ink almost disappeared. The only way to write more than this is to stop, hold the pen downwards, wait, and then start again. Absolutely love the board, disappointed with the pens.
Thanks for placing your review. We're sorry you're having difficulties with the chalk pens. We'd recommend shaking them quite vigorously before writing on a vertical board. This should help to get to the end of a sentence or word.
