Wine Bottle Collar

I bought 5 of these as stocking fillers for family members at Christmas but after trying them on a number of different bottles we found they were too tight for almost all the ones we tried. They just wouldn't fit onto the neck of the bottle without a LOT of force. I would be interested to know if other customers have had the same problem. Fortunately I spoke to Lakeland customer services and they dealt with my complaint brilliantly.

The first time my husband used it was on a screw top bottle and it couldn't slide down the neck and didn't catch any drips. (70% of our wine is screw top these days.) Second time was on a corked bottle and it slid into position as per picture but you still have to pour VERY carefully to prevent drips. 1* as looks nice but not for us I am afraid.

As the previous reviewer the collar will not fit a standard screw top bottle. I did find one bottle with a cork that it fitted but as the majority of wine is now sold as screw top it is of little use. Surprised that Lakeland stock this product as they are usually very good.
