Purple Make Up Caddy

I saw this and couldn't resist buying it as I bought the cream version a few years ago, and the fact that the velvety inside attracted dust and smuts of makeup and was impossible to clean annoyed me so much that I ended up giving it to my sister. This purple one keeps the great concept, but addresses the problem of hygiene by having a black, wipe-clean interior. The exterior can be wiped clean, too. The colour of this really isn't done justice by the photos - it has a beautiful, subtle sparkle to it when you see it in the light. I love it and can see myself buying more as gifts for friends.

I looked at this on the internet for a good while, then took the plunge to update my 18 year old box! oh the delight! It is a beautiful metallic sparkly purple- nicer than the photo, and looks compact and neat but a great size for your average needs. I love it. It is wide enough to hold decent size perfume and cream bottles, the raised shelf is perfect for several nail polishes and make up brushes...or should I buy the mini caddy also?

I'm a great fan of the cream version of this caddy, and have been through several. So I was pleased to see that Lakeland had introduced a wipe-clean version in a lovely colour. So far so good. However, when I got it home I discovered that someone had failed to include the elasticated loops that hold brushes and other long items, and also reduced the depth of the front compartment in favour of increasing the height of the drawer - which isn't practical for make-up items. So, while they've taken account of the wipe-clean factor, they've needlessly introduced negative features. Buy the cream!
