I did a lot of research before I purchased this item- the reviews were mixed and ultimately I decided to take the chance. This thing is going right back to the shop for a refund. We followed the directions and it was utter failure. Then we experimented with different vegetables, fruits, and varied cook times. It doesn't matter what you do, you never get anything but a soggy, leathery, inedible mess. I can't believe Lakeland would actually put their good name behind this junk product. Don't waste your money or your time, just don't buy this chip maker and save yourself a let down.

I'm normally a huge fan of Lakeland stuff, but this is terrible. Some of the fruit and veg burned while the rest was still soggy. Nothing it produced was edible, despite me trying different veg and fruit and different timings/temps. It doesn't do what it says on the tin.

Excited at the prospect of fat-free healthy crisps I purchased this "deluxe" set from Lakeland. It does not do what it says on the box and I am extremely disappointed with what has turned out to be a very expensive price for a cheaply made mandolin which is the only useful piece of equipment within the pack. The vegetables when left for the stated time remain soggy - if you keep bursting for longer then the ones in the centre of the tray burn while the ones on the outer edges remain soggy. Hugely disappointing as I was looking forward to making the crisps for Christmas nibbles.
