Celestial Sparkle Tree

I purchased 3 of these to stand on my fireplace and they look fantastic. They are so pretty and I am really pleased especially as I purchased these in the sale for £6.99 each.

I agree that these are very flimsy and need to be stood somewhere safe but they are so lovely to look at. I bumped the cupboard where mine was and it fell off, luckily onto a rug so the main part was ok but the base broke, I was very upset but one of hubbie's hobbies is wood-turning so he promptly went and made me a beautiful wooden base which is much more sturdy so all is well. I have just ordered 3 more - wonder if he'll make bases for them too :0)

I bought this on-line and have to confess that it is not quite as I expected - much flimsier. And the battery pack is separate, which means that the tree base has to stand on top of the wiring, making it less stable. If I had seen it first I would not have bought it.

Last year I got two lovely Celestial Sparkle Trees, they were gorgeous and I loved them. When the decorations were being packed away, one ended up broken (not difficult to do as they're very flimsy glass) So I decided to replace it this year. My new tree is faulty and only works intermittently. But more frustratingly is that the design this year is so poor. There is no groove in the base for the wires to exit from, so the glass tree is left unbalanced as the wires trail out from under it. Who thought it was a good idea to change the design for the worse?

This was certainly not what I expected, as I bought a lovely silver one last year which looks beautiful. This one, however, is flimsy and there is so little gold glitter paint on it that you can clearly see the lights inside. The battery container is also very irritating as it has a completely useless screw that has to be opened before you can get access, but is very fiddly and difficult to undo + it serves no useful purpose. I'm used to quality products from Lakeland. This is sadly just a piece of tat.
