Joseph Joseph® Vinyl Worktop Saver

Yes, sad sap that I am, but I definitely like this. I dithered for ages (partly owing to price -- I've never paid more than £10 for a normal sized worktop saver) but now I'm so glad I did. Fine, it is simply what it says it is -- a glass worktop saver -- but I needed somewhere to place a hot pan lid when cooking and this is ideal at the side of the hob. Not only that, this would be useful to serve on -- be it cheese or a cake. A nice piece of nostalgia and a bit of fun.

I was initially very excited to use this worktop saver as it is funky and just the right size for what I need. However the pattern is printed on a plastic like sheet stuck to the back of the glass and after being washed up a few times has now peeled off completely in one piece. It is still perfectly usable but is now just a plain glass round worktop saver. A bit disappointing.

This was a replacement for another multi coloured Joseph Joseph worktop saver that after being washed had water stuck between the plastic pattern and the glass. Thinking that that was just a bad batch I bought another one......Despite this one looking good, water has again got between the plastic and the glass and can not be removed. Really disappointed. Have paid around £30 for 2 circular pieces of glass. Will not be buying any Joseph Joseph products again.
