This is an overpoweringly unpleasant and synthetic smell. It's so strong that it's impossible to sit in our large sitting room with it and impossible to eat or drink anything, because it is overwhelming. I've had to banish it. Lakeland, please bring back Clean Cotton in the reed diffuser, which was the last one I had from you and was perfectly pleasant and discreet.

Thanks for taking the time to write your review. I'm sorry to hear that you'd been unhappy with the fragrance. For a more subtle fragrance, add just a small amount of the fragranced oil to the glass holder so that it is wicked away by the reed diffuser.
