These days, lots of our recipes are A4 sheets printed from the internet so it makes sense to have a file that fits. Containing write-your-own recipe cards, index cards, labels, stickers and plastic wallets, this ringbinder folder is perfectly proportioned for the job and has an oven mitt-shaped clip on the front to hold your recipe for quick reference when cooking.

I bought this in store recently and have to say I absolutely love it. The little glove magnet on the front is so sweet and useful, as are all of the handy storage pockets that my recipes are now neatly stored in! It doesn't take up to much space either which is a bonus!
The principle is good, but I have some gripes especially given the high cost: the rings are quite small so it holds a very limited number of pages (I had to buy a second one for puddings and cakes as there was not enough room in the one I was given for Christmas); it could do with a more generous provision of plastic sleeve inserts than it currently has; finally the magnet ovenglove on the front is very flimsy with the back and front of it only held together by a hinge of paper, which has already ripped when I pushed it back onto the shelf between 2 other recipe books.

I was really looking forward to receiving this Recipe File as I have been looking for one for ages. But what good is a file with just four write-on recipe cards and not many more plastic sleeves. If you had sold refills, it wouldn't have been so bad! I also felt that the magnetic hand on the cover was extremely flimsy and, as it is only held together by paper, I don't think this will stand up to much use. I'm sad, because you always provide the very best. In my opinion, I'm afraid - this time you didn't.
