Lakeland Metal Measuring Cups and Spoons – Pack of 8

The measuring cups and spoons arrived looking bright and shiny. I've used them for paprika, turmeric and other ingredients that discolour - they still come out shiny and unstained whether by hand or the dishwasher - I put half in the dishwasher and did half by hand to compare. The cups pour nicely. For measuring fatty or alcholic ingredients, I feel these stainless steel cups and spoons are preferable to plastic - I used them for icecream and vinaigrette. They all nest conveniently into the largest cup (the chains provided to hang them up are a bit fiddly).

This item comes as 2 different sets - one set of cups and one set of spoons. Both sets have a really useful rubberised section which helps to maintain a firm grip on the spoon or cup. The cups can measure a "cup" quantity or ml. The spoons measure in ml or description like tsp. I used both sets to make a sweet and sour sauce. Found the larger cup useful for this with the flat bottom which freed up hands. The spoons managed a range of liquids very well. Both sets were easy to clean and dishwasher safe too. Highly recommended.

Finally treated myself and delighted with them. So easy to see the quantity amount engraved on the handles. My only grumble is the metal chain holding them as it is fiddly to undo & do up. Have used book rings instead which open and close way more easily.

These are a good sturdy set of measuring cups and spoons. I like that they are stainless steel which makes them robust and easy to throw in the dishwasher. I like that they have a chain to keep them together which is also removable if you prefer to have them individually. I like that the set comes with both cups and spoons so covers all bases. The packaging is however wrong as it states that the spoon sizes contains a 1/2 tablespoon which it doesn’t. I would have liked a 1/2 tablespoon as I use this measurement quite often. That’s the only negative I have about the set.

Love this set - really easy to use, more so than the set I had before. My only negative is that the chains connecting the spoons are a real faff! My previous set has a solid ring with a clasp that was easy to open, slide a spoon off, and close again. I've no idea why these are connected with a fiddly chain, as it's impractical...
