Quite heavy but means it cuts through the ice cream very easily, whether it comes straight out of the freezer or has had time to soften. Handy notch at the end to lift off any tight lids. Would definitely buy again but as it has a three year guarantee , I won't have to. My sister who has problems with her grip used this scoop and gave high praise to how well it worked and how comfortable it was in her hand.
