"worth every penny" star star star star star i thought i was being a bit decadent buying this attachment but it is really impressive . it shaves ice finely or coarsely , perfect for a slushy or evening g&t and using the ice moulds supplied ( 4 of ) the are just the right amount of ice , as usual with Kitchen Aid the build quality is excellent and it attaches easily and works smoothly , i know it probably sounds like i work for the company but i really don't just very happy with this .
"Perfect snow, quick and easy desserts" star star star star star If you always wanted the famous frosted ice toy as a child and never got one…. This produces what you dreamed of, perfect shaved ice and quickly (unlike the toy which apparently never delivered on its promise!). We tried the fine setting, plain water (you can freeze juice too) and topped with a slug of Monin Strawberry syrup - perfect quick dessert for 2-3 people from one “puck” (it comes with 4 moulds, KitchenAid told me they are also planning to stock spare moulds this summer). Neat and small attachment, the moulds store nested away (though mine live in the freezer ready to use).
"Home made frapps a doddle now!" star star star star star We all love a frap, but I thought twice about buying due to the cost, but was not sorry at all....especially in our recent heatwave, when it was used extensively. It comes with 4 containers to freeze the water in & in the hot spell, could have done with some extras, but built up a few extra frozen pucks by turning out frozen ones & saving in a plastic bag in the freezer &re-filling the container with water to freeze.(You can't use other containers to freeze water as the attachment needs there to be grooves in the ice to grip it and these are molded into the the containers provided.)
