It’s hard to beat a delicious loaf of sourdough with a dark, crunchy crust encasing a light, spongey centre. But growing or maintaining a sourdough culture can be a time-consuming process – that is, unless you have Mad Millie’s 15-minute Sourdough Kit to help you out. With everything you need to make your own sourdough from home, all it takes is 15 minutes of hands-on work to get the perfect dough, ready to ferment.

What you get

• 3 x sourdough yeast culture sachets – 2.7g.
• Artisan salt – 450g.
• Dough scraper
• Dough whisk
• Muslin cloth – 100% cotton

Easy to use

All you need to do to get started is mix the artisan salt and yeast culture in a bowl with flour and water and mix with the dough whisk. Then cover it up and let it ferment and rise for around 20 hours before baking it in a covered oven dish.

Store the culture in a cool dark place, away from direct sunlight – the cooler the area you can store it in, the better for the culture inside.
