Nothing says ‘happy birthday!’ like a fancy cake and balloons, so this Rainbow Balloon Cake Topper Kit really has it all! Once you’ve baked your cake (it needs to be at least 20cm or 8 inches across for the topper to fit), follow the instructions to construct your balloon arch using the skewers and double-sided tape included. Then push the skewers down into your cake – and voila! You’ve topped your bake with 11 balloons, and the clear ones even have brightly coloured confetti inside for a really festive touch.
And it’s not just for birthdays – if you’re throwing a baby shower or hosting an anniversary party, it makes a colourful centrepiece for those celebrations too.

This topper looked amazing on a simple iced Victoria sponge for my son's birthday. It's even more colourful than the picture. You have to blow up each balloon to 3.5 inches (a cardboard gauge would be useful), tie them and push them through little holes in a cardboard strip. You think they won't fit, but they do! Would highly recommend.
This is the most awful cake topper, I am so disappointed!!. My first problem was I had a balloon with a hole in it. I returned to store and with no hassle at all I was given a replacement. I put all the balloons on the cardboard strip and you can see all the knots where the balloons ate pulled through the cardboard, it looked awful. Anyway , I attached the sticks and put the topper on the cake. It went ping and the cardboard snapped . I'm so cross. I've now got a cake with two holes in and no topper. Us
