There’s a certain satisfaction that comes with achieving a perfectly smooth icing surface on a cake that took you all day to bake. But it isn’t always as easy as it sounds, especially if your cake has a round top or curved edges. This set of three Round Icing Scrapers is designed to help you give even the curviest cakes the smooth surface they deserve.

With three different sized scrapers to choose from, each with a curved edge, a straight edge and a patterned edge, smoothing the edges of your cakes suddenly becomes a lot less demanding, no matter what shape of cake you’ve decided to bake.

Curved edge

Where you used to use a straight-edged scraper to tackle those difficult curved edges, leaving lots of individual scrape marks in the icing, you can now use the curved edge to get the job done in a smooth, single motion.

Straight edge

When looking to achieving a seamless coating on your straight-sided cakes, simply smooth over the whole cake using the flat edge of the scraper to give a perfectly smooth, professional-standard finish.

Patterned edge

Cover your bake with a generous coating of frosting, buttercream or royal icing and, while it’s still soft, hold your chosen scraper vertically and run the patterned edge round your cake. This will leave a series of horizontal stripes around your bake, some standing proud and some recessed, giving it a professional-looking finish with very little effort.
