"Kitchenaid Bread Bowl attachment" star star star star star Have used it twice with brilliant results. It creates it’s own small oven leading to a perfectly baked loaf.
"Kitchen aid Bread Bowl Attachment" star star star star star_border I have only just used the bowl for the first time this weekend. I mainly make sourdough and cook it in a Le Cruset casserole. What I found, using the bread bowl attachment for the Kitchen Aid, is that it produced a nice light sourdough that wasn't as dry and chewy as my normal way of cooking it. The one problem I did have was that the lid got stuck to the side and base of the loaf and I couldn't separate the top from the bottom. When it cooled down I was then able to get it apart. I think next time I use it I will oil it to see if that helps.
"Also epic fail" star star star_border star_border star_border This review is for an older version of this product First use. The recipe way too wet. After 2nd rise it is impossible to get onto the base without deflating. Then Stuck to lid and had to be prised apart after cooking. Then bread stuck to the base and had to be scraped free. Tasty but impossible to manage. I shall try it with grease proof but rather defeats the object. I shall have to get a small springform surround to use inside properly. Also it is too tall for an Aga. To cap it all I find after I’ve bought it the price has dropped. Bit miffed! support_agent A note from the team Thank you for placing your review. In the recipes provided, Kitchen recommend oil, flour and lining the base with parchment to prevent sticking. I'll be in touch to help.
"Epic fail" star star_border star_border star_border star_border Mixing and first prove fine, second prove it stuck. Eventually get it on to the lid, it stuck (with paper). Bake- lid welds on. Force lid off to finish bake (loaf all misshapen by now). Remove from oven- loaf glued to base, so loses crispness and damaged once prised off. Exactly same on second loaf, despite trying to avoid previous fiasco. Also, you can’t fridge prove as the bowl is then too cold to put into a hot oven. Perhaps it may work better for a small size loaf, but it’s too expensive to dread using it! Needless to say, I’m returning it…. support_agent A note from the team We're sorry this didn't work well for you. Kitchenaid have advised that using parchment paper, oil and flour prevents the dough from sticking to the lid while baking.
