Made from rattan, this food-safe circular basket helps your home-made bread retain its shape as it proves and leaves an attractive spiral imprint which bakes into your loaf to give it a rustic artisan touch.

If you're looking for an easy way to give your home-made loaves an artistic appearance, just place one of these inserts in your bread proving basket and, as your dough rises, an imprint of the pattern is left on your loaf for a professional-looking, rustic finish that wouldn't look out of place in an artisan bakery.

Easy to use

Just place one of the reusable wooden inserts (the set comprises sun, honeycomb and heart designs) pattern-side up into your proving basket, flour well to prevent sticking, then put your dough on top to prove. When you turn out your dough, remove the insert and you’'l see the pattern has been imprinted on the top of your loaf, ready for baking in.
