I have two of these, one with a tray, one without. The one without is perfect to store tortillas, unless you but the huge ones. The one with is just the right size for my 8" fruit cake ( a family favourite). Its also quite good for cookies and sweets. They stack well in kitchen wall cupboards, for which the bigger ones have too great a diameter. Admittedly, if you want a thickly filled sandwich cake, it will struggle. I tend to use the larger versions with a carrying handle for bigger, decorated cakes, but when it comes to every day use, the little ones can't be beaten!

Excellent LocknLock quality, unfortunately not deep enough to take anything more than a skinny cake, so disappointed as the design idea is perfect, will be returning

I baked a 7” Victoria sponge cake but unfortunately the cake couldn’t be stored in the container as the lid wouldn’t fit on once the cake was placed inside it. The container isn’t deep enough so it’s useless for sandwich cakes. Very disappointing.

I agree with previous reviewer , cake box is far to shallow , once you have sandwiched cake together then put some kind of decoration on top , the carrier is useless , cake ends up being squashed . I did at time of purchasing consider the extendable one , but there is a big difference in cost . Carrier needs to be deeper . Sorry Lakeland but I would not recommend this product , hence my poor score .
