We’ve sold our share of quiche and tart tins over the years, but the one thing that was missing from our latest bakeware range was a traditional-style tin with a ‘cut’ fluted edge, which makes it easy to trim pastry to fit simply by rolling your rolling pin over it. That’s why we’ve brought in this Enamel Base Loose-Based Tart & Quiche Tin – and we’ve also given it a super-tough base so you can slice and serve straight from the tin.
Traditional tart tin with fluted edge
Perfect for sweet treats from lemon meringue pies to treacle tarts to fruit-topped flans, and savoury quiches both veggie and meat-stuffed, this 8-inch tin has a classic fluted edge, so you can drape your rolled-out pastry over the tin, press it into the base and against the sides, then roll again so the edge cuts through the pastry – voila! Perfectly fitting pastry with no extra trimming.
Attractive, easy-release non-stick coating
The fluted sides of the tin are made from carbon steel for an even bake, with a double layer of XYNFLON Diamond Blue non-stick coating so your pastry will release easily without leaving lots of stuck-on crumbs behind. It also has a lovely blue ‘sparkle’ effect under the light – which doesn’t have any particular benefit, but does mean this will be quite the prettiest tin in your baking cupboard!
Metal utensil-friendly enamelled loose base
You wouldn’t normally risk slicing and serving your tart or quiche straight from the tin for fear of scoring the metal or damaging the non-stick coating, but this tin’s loose base is different. It’s also made from carbon steel, but has an incredibly hard-wearing glass enamel coating that’s harder than steel. So once you’ve lifted out your tart on the loose base you can slice away without having to worry about your tin coming to harm.
