There’s nothing like a scrumptious Yule log at Christmas, and with these Mini Bûche de Noël Moulds, you can make four beautifully turned out ones with a wonderfully festive Christmas tree and stars either embossed or debossed on the outside. Perfect for serving up when entertaining or for wrapping up and presenting as a lovely home-made gift for loved ones.

How to use

You can use the acetate mould with or without the embossing mats, giving you the option of making plain chocolate logs at different times of the year. For a patterned effect:

• Place the red silicone mat into the acetate mould – one way for embossing and the other for debossing.
• Coat with a thin layer of chocolate – if using a paint brush, go for two layers, leaving to set in the fridge after each application.
• Layer with cake and mousse until full, ending on a cake layer – alternatively, you could use ice cream instead of mousse for a frosty twist.

Both the moulds and silicone mats are reusable; the moulds can be wiped clean and the silicone mats can go in the dishwasher for added convenience.

Silicone mats are heat-resistant up to 230°C.
