What better way to decorate your cake than with a beautiful, eye-catching flower? Making something so delicate out of icing can be fiddly, and the temptation’s there to leave it to the professionals, but PME’s Large Flower Cutter Set makes it super-simple to create large edible blooms using modelling paste, sugarpaste or fondant icing.
Create beautiful blooms
Made from sturdy plastic, each cutter has sharp edges for a perfect clean cut, and the three cutters in different shapes and sizes enable you to build up the layers of petals – simply follow the included instructions to cut out and fold your icing and you’ll find yourself with a beautiful finished flower.
Using each cutter in turn, stamp out the three shapes – you can go with different colours of icing for an ombre effect, or all the same for a burst of bright colour. Starting with the smallest set of petals, ‘glue’ and fold the paste petals to create a lovely 5-petalled flower. Repeat with the two larger sets, and then stack them up to create your bloom. Add a ball of paste to create the flower centre, and it’s ready to make a beautiful centrepiece to your bake.
