I love the ease in which you use this product, if the tip turns red your cake is ready - no more guessing! It also comes with a nifty cap which protects the heat sensitive coating when its in the draw. I would highly recommend.

I loved the original version of this product which was made of white plastic and was disposable. The second evolution was reusable and came in smart blue metal but the blue metal made it more difficult to read than the white version. So I am really pleased that the third evolution is in silver as it will be more easy to read.
I've always had trouble knowing when a cake was ready and usually ended up over-baking - just to be safe... Came across this cake tester in store and thought I'd give it a go. It's AMAZING! It's such a simple little tool but it has taken out the guesswork. You just push it into the centre of your cake and pull out, if the tip is red your cake is done - its as easy as that! The new version also came with a tip protector so I don't have to worry about it scratching in my draw.
I thought this was quite expensive for a simple product but it has proved to be an amazing little gadget. Easy to use and it is very precise, I have left the days of sinking sponge cakes behind. The protective tip cover is great idea.

I have had one of these for years, and it is really good for showing if a cake is cooked and ready to take out- particularly if it is a new recipe you are not familiar with. After much use, the one is losing its colour, so needed to be replaced. A great little gadget to have in the drawer.
