Bake-and-Build 3D Elephant Cookie Cutter

Product number: 32376

Fantastic fun for the whole family to bake, build – and munch on! – our 3D Elephant Cookie Cutter helps you create a tasty tusker in delicious biscuity form.

Easy-to-use, one-press cutter

Rather than having to store (and probably lose) nine individual cutters, you get a single, large one that cuts out all the pieces in one go. Just dust your work surface, then roll out gingerbread or cookie dough – it needs to be quite thin so it doesn’t spread too much when it bakes, as this will make it harder to slot the finished pieces together. Then place the cutter over the top, press down evenly all over the surface, and lift up. You might have to use a decorating tool to gently remove the dough from the cutter, but you’ll end up with nine detailed shapes ready to be transferred to a baking tray.

Bake, build and decorateL

Once the pieces of your elephant have baked and cooled, you can decorate them with some grey icing, then simply slot them together to create a majestic beast, ready to stride across the African plains – or your kitchen countertop. All that’s left to do after that is persuade everyone that they want to eat it, rather than play with it!

And if they love this, there are 3D Giraffe and Lion Cutters available too, so you can create a mouth-watering menagerie.

Full step-by-steps included.

"A novel idea"

star star star star_border star_border

If you want to try something different with biscuits - give this a go. Make sure you follow the instructions in order to get the shape right as you bring the biscuits out of the oven. Tricky at first and I think it will take me a few more goes to perfect this! It is a novel idea and the family (children and grandchildren) can all get involved.

"Fun & Different"

You need to follow instructions carefully as can be a little tricky. Let the pieces firm on the tray a little before moving onto a cooling tray. I found them awkward to put together, but my hands are not the best! Look very effective when done, I think the grandchildren will love them.

"A bit tricky but fun"

star star star star_border star_border

The cutter was relatively easy to use, but the pieces needed to be carefully trimmed after baking to put them together. A suggested recipe for the biscuit base would have been useful as getting a firm enough mix was a bit tricky. May be a useful distraction item at the moment!

Thank you for placing your review. Try chilling the dough in the fridge before rolling, and flour the cutter well before using to give better shapes. You'll find some great biscuit recipes on our blog - https://blog.lakeland.co.uk/recipe-category/biscuits-cookie-recipes/ Hope this helps, Happy Baking

"Very tricky to build"

star star star_border star_border star_border

Fun to make but very tricky to assemble. The hips and shoulders were too weak when put together so Flumpie managed to stand for about 3 minutes before collapsing in pieces!

We’re very sorry to hear this and will be in touch shortly to sort this for you. We’d suggest using a strong biscuit recipe and rolling a little thicker to strengthen key areas, also allowing to cool fully before attempting building together.

"Elephant crumbs"

star star_border star_border star_border star_border

Over the years I have purchased many many Lakeland products which I have found both useful and interesting. This however is not one of them. Despite trimming after the biscuits came out of the oven crumbs ensued. I will not be purchasing the other animals in the series. It’s a good job that the family like biscuits of all shapes and sizes. If I could give zero stars I would. I have since returned his product for a refund, something I thought I would n very have to do in Lakeland.

We suggest using a strong biscuit mix and allowing to cool before assembling the pieces, but we're sorry this proved difficult.
