Katy Sue Designs Santa Head Flexible Silicone Mould

Product number: 32332

Twinkly of eye and ruddy of cheek, there’s nothing quite like a traditional Father Christmas to top a festive cake, and Katy Sue Designs’ Santa Head Flexible Silicone Mould turns out a wonderfully jolly be-hatted and bearded Santa who’ll be delighted to go ho-ho-hoing across the top of your lovingly made Christmas bakes.

Ideal for modelling paste, chocolate and more

Designed for use with firm fondant, modelling paste and marzipan, this silicone mould is an incredibly easy way to create fantastic cake decorations with very little effort and no specialist skills. Just dust the mould lightly with cornflour before you begin, then push your paste into place, being careful not to overfill the mould. Once you’ve scraped away any excess, press on the back of the mould and flex to gently release your cake-topping creation.

Releases easily for perfectly preserved detail

Super-flexible and non-stick, the mould will release your Father Christmas easily once it’s set, giving you wonderful definition with all the quirky features intact from the top of his hat to the bottom of his beard.

Go hot and cold

Because it’s made from heat-resistant silicone, this Santa mould can also be used with melted chocolate, Candy Buttons, toffee or sugar – just wait for them to set hard before turning them out. And it’s freezer safe too, so it’s just the thing for creating festive ice shapes to add to little ones’ drinks!

Other features:

  • Heat-resistant to 200°C
  • BPA-free

"Brilliant"

star star star star star

I have used Katy Sue moulds before but was a little daunted by previous review. My first attempt was perfect, as was my second and both adorned cakes for Christmas. Dusting the mould with cornflour is essential. Watching the You Tube video is also very helpful in getting the right technique for using these moulds.

Used with Grandchildren and was not a success as couldn't get the icing out whole. Did use it with cookie dough which was much more successful. Probably best used by seasoned bakers

This review was written by a Lakeland colleague who purchased the product for their own personal use. We'd recommend dusting the mould with cornflour before adding your fondant, modelling paste or marzipan.
