Embossed Star Pattern Wooden Rolling Pin

I’ve wanted one of these rolling pins for a long time. Perhaps there’s a knack that I haven’t mastered, but I’ve found that once rolled out, the pressure needed to created the star pattern flattens the icing further. I couldn’t achieve the depth of pattern without pressing really hard. So all in all, I’m disappointed with this as it wasn’t cheap. Great idea and well made, but clearly not for me!

I hate to write this but I am totally disappointed with this rolling pin, I couldn’t wait to try it out, what a let down, it really doesn’t work, it seems to me that the cut out stars are not cut in enough, I would like a refund please

I was really looking forward to using this rolling pin. I used it on some biscuit mixture, had to press quite hard for the stars to appear, but the mixture did emboss, however they completely disappeared when cooked. I tried it again on a different recipe, but the same happened again. Very disappointed as thought it would look lovely on Christmas biscuits.

I bought this instore but hadn’t read the reviews. I have just used it for the first time and even though I pressed hard after rolling my pastry out with a normal rolling pin first it didn’t make any indentations that I could see. The pattern is not etched in far enough.

This rolling pin had been on my Birthday/Christmas wish list for ages. I was so excited when my daughter eventually bought it for me. What a huge disappointment this product is. I’ve tried many ways and many times to use it successfully but no way does it work. I don’t like to tell her as I know she will be as sad as I am. I don’t even feel that I can donate it to a charity shop as another poor person will go on to pay for a useless piece of equipment. So sadly it’ll be the tip for it!
