JEM Pop It Mould – 7 Christmas Trees Border Icing Mould

After reading reviews about roller pad not being big enough, I found a way to use this border without one. I put a long piece of clingfilm loosely across the trees, place your icing or marzipan across the length and cover with another piece of clingfilm and gently press into the trees, carefully remove all clingfilm and leave to dry or take it out of clingfilm and trim excess, voilà.

I bought this Christmas tree mould in your Harrogate store yesterday. It’s a lovely border and exactly what I want for my Christmas cakes. However what mystified both me and your staff I’m store is that it doesn’t fit the pop-it pads that you need to hold it. We scoured the shop, asked staff, who scoured the online catalogue too. But you only sell small pop-it pads and this mould is too large for them. How are you meant to use it???? I bought it anyway and plan to stick it in some polystyrene but it’s a bit of a non-sensical mystery. Can anyone shed any light???

I wish I had read previous review, this cutter doesn’t work without the correct JEM cutting pad, which Lakeland don’t sell. It is available from other retailers for less money and you need to purchase the pad, as well. Products ok But sadly let down by Lakeland

I spent 3 hours trying to use this (I don't give up easily!) and managed to get just one piece of the border somewhere near to acceptable! I tried all different thicknesses of fondant icing - if it's too thin the border breaks on extraction and if it is too thick you lose definition. After a further 2 hours I resorted to using the mould as a press for the shape and then cutting out the individual trees with a sharp knife. All in all a very disappointing experience that I shan't be repeating. I certainly would not recommend this item to anyone else.

Couldn't get this to work. Very annoying. Didn't fit into support which, I think was recommended to be purchased alongside. A complete waste of money. Will be throwing it away, more rubbish to be disposed of.
