Diamond Blue Oval Pie Dishes – Set of 4

There’s nothing quite as satisfying as a piping hot pie, packed with filling and topped with a crisp pastry crust...mmm, lovely. In a traditional shape with wide rims, these Oval Pie Dishes turn out perfectly cooked, single-serving savoury or sweet pies – think steak and ale, chicken and mushroom, apple or cherry – so you can give your guests a choice of delicious fillings.

Wide rims for easy pie crust edges

Nothing finishes off a proper pastry-encased pie than the lovely crisp pie crust, and the wide rims on these tins make it easy to seal them together. Once your bottom layer of pastry’s been draped over the tin and the filling’s gone in, just add the top layer, trim off the excess with a knife, then pinch or press together the edges to seal. The rims also help support the puff pastry ‘lids’ of pot pies, and help stop mash-topped shepherd’s pies from bubbling over.

Attractive, easy-release non-stick coating

Made from carbon steel for an even bake, these tins are finished with a double layer of XYNFLON Diamond Blue non-stick coating so your pastry will release easily without breaking or leaving lots of stuck-on crumbs behind. It also has a lovely blue ‘sparkle’ effect under the light – which doesn’t have any particular benefit, but does mean these will be quite the prettiest tins in your baking cupboard!
