"Terrible"

I am really disappointed with the pan. I recently bought this in the hope it would outshine my Mary Berry pan but it is awful. I will stick to my original Lakeland pans in future. It is not of a good quality and does not give a good baking finish.

Love this little beauty. It's perfect for making galettes in and comes up clean every time. Non-stick and cools very quickly. I's also easy to pop the galette out of, onto a tray. One of the best baking trays I have. Used over and over again !

"Very disappointed ! Ruined my raspberry sponge!"

I bought this tin specifically to make my raspberry sponge pudding in. I filled the bottom with raspberries and then made the sponge to go on top but to my horror, when I turned back to the tray, there was raspberry juice all over the work top, cupboards and on the floor! I did not realise that there were tiny holes in the pan! I had to put the pan inside another pan to stop anything else seeping out as I needed to put lots of liquid on top of the batter before cooking it! My pudding was not as raspberry as I had hoped!I presume cake batter does not seep through the holes.

I tried to use the loaf tin for a banana loaf recipe and it dripped through to the shelf below as soon as it was placed in the oven. The fact that it is only suitable for pastry or bread should be stressed. I had a long job cleaning up the mess.

I got off to a slow start, a tad confused by unusual dimensions of the glass fibre silicone bakeware, but since I got used to the fact that the loaf tin seems to work with same quantities as my conventional 2lb tin, and the rectangular pan the same as my trusty, aged Mary Berry pan, the glass fibre silicone versions have been my go-to bakeware. Cakes rise well and the washing up results are so much better than with conventional silicone pans, with no unsightly 'bloom' on the surface when next retrieved for use! Thoroughly recommended.
