Katy Sue Design’s Afternoon Tea Flexible Silicone Mould turns out a trio of beautifully detailed tea-themed icing toppers – a classic bowl-shaped teapot, teacup and saucer and cherry-topped cupcake – that will sit prettily atop your teatime treats.
Ideal for modelling paste, chocolate and more
Designed for use with firm fondant, modelling paste and marzipan, this silicone mould is an incredibly easy way to create fantastic cake decorations with very little effort and no specialist skills. Just dust the mould lightly with cornflour before you begin, then push your paste into place, being careful not to overfill the mould. Once you’ve scraped away any excess, press on the back of the mould and flex to gently release your cake-topping creation.
Releases easily for perfectly preserved detail
Super-flexible and non-stick, the mould will release your decorations easily once they’ve set, giving you wonderful definition with all the delicate detail intact, from the cherry on the top of the cupcake to the fluted rim of the saucer.
Go hot and cold
Because it’s made from heat-resistant silicone, this mould can also be used with melted chocolate, Candy Buttons, toffee or sugar – just wait for them to set hard before turning them out. And it’s freezer safe too, so it’s just the thing for creating afternoon tea-themed ice cubes if you’re treating your guests to G&Ts.
