Simply roll out your pastry, spread on your desired filling and top with another layer of pastry. Press the large red cutter down to create a circle in the middle and lots of ‘spindles’ coming off it in the shape of the sun, then gently twist each spindle round and bake in the oven. The best pastry to use with this versatile cutter is puff pastry as it makes a light and crispy snack with lots of flavoursome layers, but other types of pastry and even dough produce equally delicious results.
