Nespresso’s coffee experts have excelled themselves with the revolutionary VertuoPlus coffee machine. Distilling all their know-how, and drinking a lot of coffee in the process, they have produced a versatile, intelligent machine that brews a perfect cup of coffee or crema-rich espresso at the touch of a button, every single time. By carefully choosing the origin and experimenting with the roasting of every blend, they have developed a new bar code technology brewing system that uses centrifusion extraction technology and automatic blend recognition to deliver the best in-cup result possible. With four different cup sizes and three sizes of capsule, it may well be the only coffee machine you’ll ever need.
Centrifusion Extraction Technology
The VertuoPlus heats up quickly in 15-25 seconds. Just insert your chosen coffee capsule into the machine, the VertuoPlus will read the bar-code automatically recognising the blend. The machine then calibrates so the perfect settings are achieved for the blend. Next the machine blends the coffee grounds with water to dissolve the coffee and gently extract all the flavour and aroma. As the water is injected, the capsule continues to spin at a rate specific to the blend. The rotation forces coffee to exit the capsule and as it hits the machine head wall it mixes the coffee with air creating the crema. The final phase involves spinning the capsule at up to 7000 times per minute to dry it. The used capsule is then ejected and your perfect crema coffee is ready.
Automatic Blend Recognition
This clever coffee machine recognises which Grand Cru capsule you’ve chosen by reading a barcode around the capsule’s edge, so there’s no need for you to worry about changing settings. It automatically adjusts its parameters to suit whatever drink you’re brewing.
One-touch Brewing
It couldn’t be simpler to use. Because the clever VertuoPlus does most of the work for you, all you need to do is choose which variety of coffee you want, insert it into the machine then press the button.
4 Cup Sizes
The VertuoPlus can brew four cup sizes so everyone’s coffee preferences can be catered for – Espresso (40ml), Gran Lungo (150ml), Mug (230ml) and Alto (414ml), and the cup stand is adjustable or can be removed completely.
3 Capsule Sizes
A range of 20 Nespresso Vertuo Grand Crus are available, each with unique aroma profiles and in three different capsule sizes: large for Alto and Mug, medium for Gran Lungo and small for Espresso. Every Grand Cru blend has been specifically created, taking into account bean selection, blending, roasting and grinding, to provide the best fit with the brewing parameters of the VertuoPlus and ensure every cup is the best it can possibly be. More than 80% of the coffee is sourced through the Nespresso AAA Sustainable Quality programme and is sealed in the recyclable aluminium Vertuo capsules for freshness.
