Lakeland Multi Yogurt and Soft Cheese Maker

Product number: 31794

Almost everyone loves a spoonful or three of tasty yogurt, and with Lakeland’s multi yogurt and soft cheese maker, it’s easy to whip up batch after batch of your fresh, creamy and nutritious favourites for your family at home.

Ready in 8 Hours

Thick, creamy yogurt, in whatever flavour you fancy, in as little as 8 hours…what’s not to like?

Easy to Use

It couldn’t be simpler to make your own – just a small portion of plain natural yogurt stirred into warm milk in one of the two included containers begins the magical transformation.

An easy-to-read digital screen allows you to set the time and temperature (between 1-99 hours and 25-65°C) for whatever you’re making and then your work is done until it’s time to pick up your spoon and tuck into your treat.

Make Your Favourite Yogurt

This compact electric yogurt maker can produce up to 1.65 litres of plain yogurt or 1 litre of Greek-style yogurt. If you’re a fan of thicker, tangier Greek yogurt, just strain your plain yogurt to take away the whey – it’ll take a bit longer but trust us, the wait will be worth it.

Make Soft Cheese

You can also make soft, creamy, ricotta-style cheese, just by following the simple recipe in the instruction booklet. We think it’s delicious spread on bagels with smoked salmon or on chive-topped crackers – and you can add your herbs to customise it to suit your favourite serving ideas.

If you like your yogurt extra creamy and indulgent then use whole milk, but if you prefer it lighter or are watching your waistline, semi-skimmed and skimmed milk will also produce delicious results, while still giving you the benefit of all that calcium richness and gut-friendly bacteria.

On its own, spooned onto your cereal, made into herby dips or flavoured-up with fruit, honey or nuts – even added to dressings or smoothies – your versatile home-made natural yogurt will contain no artificial sweeteners, additives or preservatives and will be so delicious, you’ll never go back to shop-bought.

Accessories Included:

  • 1.8 litre container with a working capacity of 1.6 litres
  • 1.6 litre container with a working capacity of 1.5 litres

Strainer for draining the whey when making thicker Greek-style yogurt or soft cheese

We’ve also included some recipes with the BPA-free machine to give you some extra inspiration.

"Change of mind"

star star star star star

My original Lakeland yoghurt maker no longer worked after many years of heavy use. I ordered a replacement and was upset that they had been discontinued. The replacement was digital, looked more complicated than the trusty original one which was so straightforward. However, I relented and against better judgement, bought the latest model from Lakeland, upset that it appeared that everything goes ‘digital’ when there is nothing wrong with the previous design. I am so glad I did. This item is pleasing to look at, easy to wash, not at all complicated and I swear the yoghurt is even nicer.

"Works really well"

star star star star star

Been using this for more than a year, once or twice a week, and I find it works really well. However,it would be nice if there was some way of storing the power cable - such as hooks on the back or a ridge on the base you could wrap the cable around.

"Question about Greek Yoghurt"

star star star star star_border

I really like this product and find it easy to use. When making greek style yoghurt however, I seem to end up with very little yoghurt and lots of whey. The consistency is like a shop bought Greek style, not as thick as a branded type and so I wouldn’t want to add any of the whey back into the yoghurt. Any ideas where I might be going wrong? Thanks.

Thank you for your review. We're pleased you find this yoghurt maker easy to use. When making cheese or Greek style yoghurt you don't add any of the whey back into the yoghurt. You can place it in a freezer for 6-10 hours for a thicker taste.

"Poor temperature control"

star star_border star_border star_border star_border

I wanted to make yogurt from bacteria of different optimum temperatures. I thought that this would be suitable. That was 4yrs ago. Sometimes I was successful. Usually, not. I assumed that the fault was mine. That is until I tried using a chem lab water bath that held temperature to within a degree. I was successful every time. So, I measured the temperature of the fermenter. No matter what my starting temperature, it just kept going up until it got to 59' over a period of 5hrs. So, the outcome depended on when I took it out. I dont mind wasting £30 but I do resent wasting 4yrs of my life.

Thank you for your review. We're sorry to hear this yoghurt maker hasn't worked well for your usage needs. It does make a variety of yoghurts with the recipes included in the booklet - we've sent you an email to help further.

"A brilliant piece of kitchen kit!"

Straightforward to use, easy to store, and makes really delicious yoghurt/Greek yogurt/cream cheese, and the yoghurts make a very good substitute for cream. Grandchildren loved helping with the process, and gobbled up the result. Definitely a winner, and at a good price.
