Designed to suit small households, the intelligently-controlled Morphy Richards Intellisteam Compact Steamer is the perfect way to cook healthy meals for one or two – or part of a meal for a few – and, as it’s memory is full of pre-set timings to suit different foods, it’s really easy to use. Each compartment is controlled separately to create a perfectly timed meal, and the Keep Warm function cuts in to keep your dinner just as it should be for up to 20 minutes more.
Easy To Use
Simply select which of the two compartments you’re using and follow the prompts to select the correct foodstuff from the digital menu – there’s no need for guesswork – then program the second segment to suit the second part of your meal. The pre-programmed settings can all be amended to suit your personal preferences once you’ve got used to the settings and the intelligent timer ensures that everything will finish at exactly the same time. And, of course, if you want to take out the divider to cook a large fish, or loads of veg for a party, just programme both sides to the same setting.
Keep Warm Function
Just in case you get distracted when it’s nearly time to eat, the keep warm setting automatically takes over, keeping your meal just right for 20 minutes more.
Easy-Fill Reservoir
The water tank has a swing-out water inlet, so it’s easy to top up, even while you’re cooking. And a boil-dry alarm alerts you if there’s not enough water inside.
Easy To Clean and Store
For easy cleaning, the drip tray, main compartment, lid, divider and rice tray are all dishwasher safe, so clean up is really simple. And the base just wipes clean. When not in use, the steamer is also designed to be easy to store. Just turn the steam compartment upside down over the top of the reservoir and base, and pop the lid on top. Instantly it’s half the height to fit into your cupboards.

Bought this few weeks ago, so have put it to the test. I can honestly say it's perfect. Done the usual veg steaming, and steamed little jam sponge puds, then froze them, defrost microwave for 50 secs. Lovely. Also made rice pudding from scratch. Very compact to store, and the two separate cooking chambers are a boon. I highly recommend. Had other annoying steamers in the past, this is the best!
Have used this many times since purchasing and find it much more practical than my last steamer. Very easy instructions and use and being able to use one half of the steamer works well for me as only two of us at home, yet when we have family or friends for dinner, lots of room for the extra food I need to steam. Simple to clean. Looks stylish on my worktop. I have lots of pro's and no con's to say for this steamer.
This is a much better steamer than my previous one. Little loud but no big deal - love it!!
Absolutely love this steamer. I use it everyday for steaming vegetables. I like the fact you can just use one half independently. If I had to say anything negative it would be that the instructions state the lid is not dishwasher safe.
Bought to replace a three-tier steamer as I liked the digital function. The footprint is larger, but is outweighed by the one basket/separate timer option for each half, great if cooking different veg rather than having to remember to add a basket or lift a lid and throw them in through scalding steam. The keep warm function is very useful. Steam puddings cook perfectly. I like the fixed base of the basket, no little lugs to break off! A bit more expensive to run, compared to a tiered steamer, if consistently using both steaming units; however, overall I definitely recommend this steamer.
