Joseph Joseph Multi Prep Compact Multi Chopper

I saw this on TV and thought it might be a useful tool and it really is great. It has different graters for different sizes and shapes but I love the fact that everything drops into the container is really helpful and makes the whole process much tidier and if need you can store your grayed item until you need it.

Copes well with chopping veg, even tougher ones like swedes and parsnips. Grater and slicer good, haven't tried julienne cutter yet, and it is compact and easy to store. Only weak point is the finger guard, the teeth don't grip the food item very well, and it slides through the food (Block of cheese for example) instead of pushing the food over the grater/slicer.

Looks to be a good idea that hasn't been engineered very well. The product image shows cheese being grated, but the grater is way too flimsy to do this properly. It was difficult to grate a fairly soft cheese (Red Leicester), and the design of the hand protector didn't allow for the cheese to be gripped tightly enough. The cheese that was grated was incredibly fine, so don't expect the same sort of grated product that you get from a traditional grater. The other slicing and chopping facilities will probably be much better, but this will probably spend most of its life unused in the cupboard.

I purchased the Multi Chopper because I needed a new grater. When I came to grate the carrots it was not possible. I haven't used any of the other sections.

I bought this to replace our old broken grater, thinking it was a good buy to pay a bit more for a grater with extra functions. It doesn’t grate. At all. I bought it primarily for apple, carrot and chocolate. It pulps the apple into mush, can’t grate carrot at all, and just breaks dark chocolate (and possibly the flimsy, foil-like blades if I kept trying). What the heck. I thought this was supposed to be a reliable, practical kitchen brand and that’s why it is always a bit pricier.
