"Easy to Use." star star star star star Holds comfortably in the hand and the guard is a useful addition. I find it produces thin strips quite well, although a few sometimes stick together but come apart when agitated. It is good practise to lay a carrot horizontally on a worktop surface, hold the thick end between thumb and forefinger and pull the peeler along the vegetable. To hold a fruit or vegetable in ones hand is liable to be dangerous and unlikely to produce a good result. I've used this on various veggies both right and left handed without any problem. Recommended for making spring rolls and alike.
"Dangerous" star star_border star_border star_border star_border The description for the Julienne Peeler is that it is not only easy to use, but it's enjoyable too. Sadly, this is really not true. It is almost impossible to hold something hard, like a carrot and to then use the peeler because the carrot is too slippery to be able to hold. It might work on softer veg, but I bought it specifically for julienning carrots. It is really dangerous to use for this purpose. support_agent A note from the team We’re very sorry to hear it didn't meet your expectations and have already been in touch. It’s definitely easiest to use the biggest carrots you can . You may be best with one of the Progressive mandolins we sell for julienne carrot.
