"Concern over PBT material"

I bought 3 of these turners, and in general it is a useful product. However I have a health & safety concern. I find that with use this product is not very hard wearing. It develops thin slivers of black PBT material hanging off it's tip end. Unless these slivers are removed regularly my concern would be that these shavings end up in the pan and even your food. After every use I inspect the condition of the tip end of the item and usually have to remove loosish black slivers with a blade or a rough dish cleaning sponge, and the turner should certainly not be left sitting on a hot pan surface.
