No don’t bother with these, bought them as our old set was done and Im very disappointed. Im back to a supermarket salt grinder as the salt packed up after a week. Too far away to return. Will be looking for a replacement far sooner than we thought we would.

Wish I had looked at the reviews before making this purchase. These are absolutely impossible to open. The instructions say to remove the cap and battery pack, this is impossible to do! One of your comments says to line up the arrows, they are lined up already and don’t twist to align in any other way. So neither way works. Also, nowhere on the box is the requirement for 6 AAA batteries are mentioned. These will be going straight back.
Thank you for placing your review. I'm sorry to hear of your disappointment. To open, hold the base and turn the top chamber anticlockwise and lift off. The top cap does not turn or come off. Please return them to store along with your receipt and our staff will be happy to help with the refund.
I was given this as a present and I was very pleased to receive it as it was what I wanted. However, the instructions on how to insert the batteries and fill were a bit vague. No matter how hard I tried I could not really follow them and the 'cap' that it said to remove would not come off. I took them back to a local store and the Manager was very helpful and tried, but even she could not work it out and ended up nearly breaking one. As the only other electronic mill was a lot more expensive, they gave me a refund and I have since purchased a much more user friendly one. Do not buy.
Thank you for placing your review. I'm sorry for the difficulty you had - to install batteries and fill, just line the arrows up on the main chamber and pull apart. The cap on top doesn't come off and shouldn't be twisted. I'm pleased our staff in store helped with the refund and you found a suitable alternative.
I bought this expecting both mills and a tray to put them on. The tray is £7 extra! I expected to use a couple of batteries for each mill. These require 12 AAA batteries!!! (6 in each mill). I am within 10 miles of the shop but I am now going to have to go back to return these which is very inconvenient. There was no info on the outside of the box to indicate how many batteries were required- and I’m not surprised, no-one would buy them if they knew. Lakeland- source a different brand please.
