Lakeland Square Dry Food Storage Container 460ml

Brilliant little airtight container holds liquid no leaks have tried! It is small but holds half a packet of chocolate digestives easily, or would be the perfect size for a good amount of play dough, especially with it being airtight! I’m using it for Earl Grey tea bags, it’s a perfect size. Lovely container easy to clean and the lid is easy to use, even those with arthritis would be able to use it easily, my elderly Gran was very impressed with how easy they are to open and she struggles with the tubs with click lids! Great new product highly recommend!

The lids are internally complicated so take a long time to thoroughly air dry after hand washing and I suspect that the dishwasher would leave them with water in the cavity also. They are reasonably stackable, although the base of the upper does not fit snuggly into the lid of the lower box, allowing possible slippage. The container is compact bit surprisingly spacious and is a neat and tidy design. My planned use is tea and coffee supplies in our caravan where storage space is at a premium and I think they will be up to the job.

I love the fact that this container is sturdy, looks contemporary and will stack easily. I stored crackers in it and they kept lovely and fresh. The negatives are annoying. I washed it before use. It was obvious that the gap between the seal and the top part of the lid allowed water to get in that wasn't easy to dry. I left it overnight to dry out before using it for dry goods. The chunky lid and positive seal that look so appealing take up space inside the container, reducing its capacity. I wanted to give it a higher rating, but was swithering over an even lower rating.

I like the size of this container, and tested it full of water, as I thought it would be a good size to keep a portion of soup in. The box is airtight once the lid is clipped down to seal. The biggest drawback, is when washing the lid, water gets under the seal into the space of the top. Takes a long time to air dry out.
