Three cooking modes

The Set & Forget comes with three cooking modes to choose from:

• Manual – for traditional slow cooking or heating things up – you can select High, Low or Warm without setting a time on the digital control panel.
• Program – simply select the heat setting and set the cooking time (up to 14 hours). The slow cooker will automatically switch to keep warm when the cooking time is up, so it’s ideal for setting off before you go to work, meaning you can come home to a perfectly cooked meal.
• Probe – allows you to cook food, particularly a joint of meat or a whole roast chicken, to a precise temperature – just insert the probe into the meat and the slow cooker will automatically shift to keep warm when the desired temperature is reached. The display shows the temperature of the meat as it cooks so you’ll know when it’s done.

The dishwasher safe 4.5 litre pot is the ideal size to hold enough food to feed the whole family, or to batch cook food for freezing and enjoying later. And the clip-tight gasket lid not only keeps all the heat, steam and moisture contained during cooking, it’s also useful if you’re making food to take to a party or gathering for heating up.

Cooking, interrupted

It probably won’t happen much, if ever, but the Set & Forget has a nifty power interruption setting, so if the power goes out for five seconds or less, the cooker will remember your programmed settings and carry on cooking.
