Lakeland Induction Hob Ring Protectors – Pack of 4

Product number: 27097

It’s so easy to scratch and scuff your new, shiny induction hob surface. All it takes is a few knocks with a heavy pan and it’ll never look the same as it once did. Just pop one of our Induction Hob Ring Protectors over the ring you’re using to keep the spotless surface looking super-shiny for years to come – and because it sits directly under the base of the pan while you cook, you won’t even know it’s there.

Prevent scratches, scuffs and marks

If you’re shaking stir-fried food around in a wok or stirring a sauce a little enthusiastically, it’s easy to inadvertently damage the glass surface of your induction hob. But placing these rings over the top ensures the delicate surface is protected at all times, eliminating the risk of scuffs and scratches. And, of course, it means you can cook with pans that might not have a perfectly smooth-ground base, which means you can use your favourite cast iron casseroles and cooking pots on your induction hob after all.

Conductivity is maintained

We’ve thoroughly tested these protective rings to ensure they cause no reduction in the efficiency of the magnetic contact, so you won’t notice any difference in the time it takes to cook your favourite dishes. The heat-resistant woven mesh is coated with silicone so pans will stay securely in place above the induction element they’re on, while the ring protectors will stay firmly in place on your hob too.

Heat-resistant up to 250°C.

Hand wash only.

Please note: hob ring protectors can only be used on induction hobs. They are not suitable for ceramic hobs.

Free from BPA, PFOA and PTFE.

"Works well"

star star star star star_border

I bought these to protect my new induction job from scratches from cast iron cookware. There seems to be no loss of induction. The only downside is they have left mesh shaped deposits on the glass which so far I’ve been unable to remove. The mats themselves are easy to clean in warm water and washing up liquid. Worth getting in my opinion.

"Usual Lakeland quality but ..."

star star star star star_border

I bought these to help with pans sliding on my hob when whisking etc. After reading the write up it suggests that you may be able to use them to 'convert' non induction pans so I was keen to try this out. It certainly didn't work with some older non induction frying pans I had which was disappointing. However for the intended purpose I was very satisfied. Perhaps Lakeland should adjust the product description slightly.

These are rather expensive for what they are and are already fraying around the edges slightly, they are extremeley delicate and not robust enough for regular spills/fat when cleaning. Would really need another one as I have 5 rings which is rather irratiting as it's not really an option to buy another pack of 4 at the price they are. Very disappointing to be honest.

"Induction Hob Ring Protectors"

star star star star star

I purchased these to use with my new hob and pans as the pans were sliding around. They work really well and it helps that I can rinse off just the ones used. I’ve found that they dry very quickly when hung by a peg. I wish Lakeland would sell these individually so that one can purchase specific sizes, as various hobs have different sizes with more rings, and some have the facility to use 2 rings together which would require a larger size and differently shaped protector. Is it easy to cut these without causing fraying?

thanks for your suggestion, we'll pass it on to our buying team. for larger rings we'd suggest the Induction Hob liner which can be cut to size: https://www.lakeland.co.uk/32356/lakeland-induction-hob-protector-liner

"Not dishwasher safe"

star star star star_border star_border

In the product description these are listed as dishwasher safe but the packaging says they are not. This is annoying but not a deal breaker for me. Yet to use them in earnest but seem very expensive for what you get. Hopefully they will last for some time to justify the cost.
