"Induction Hob Ring Protectors" star star star star star I purchased these to use with my new hob and pans as the pans were sliding around. They work really well and it helps that I can rinse off just the ones used. I’ve found that they dry very quickly when hung by a peg. I wish Lakeland would sell these individually so that one can purchase specific sizes, as various hobs have different sizes with more rings, and some have the facility to use 2 rings together which would require a larger size and differently shaped protector. Is it easy to cut these without causing fraying? support_agent A note from the team thanks for your suggestion, we'll pass it on to our buying team. for larger rings we'd suggest the Induction Hob liner which can be cut to size: https://www.lakeland.co.uk/32356/lakeland-induction-hob-protector-liner
"Usual Lakeland quality but ..." star star star star star_border I bought these to help with pans sliding on my hob when whisking etc. After reading the write up it suggests that you may be able to use them to 'convert' non induction pans so I was keen to try this out. It certainly didn't work with some older non induction frying pans I had which was disappointing. However for the intended purpose I was very satisfied. Perhaps Lakeland should adjust the product description slightly.
"Works well" star star star star star_border I bought these to protect my new induction job from scratches from cast iron cookware. There seems to be no loss of induction. The only downside is they have left mesh shaped deposits on the glass which so far I’ve been unable to remove. The mats themselves are easy to clean in warm water and washing up liquid. Worth getting in my opinion.
"4 stars with reservations" star star star star star_border These do the job but they had left mesh marks, anre showing signs of fraying after a week and the mesh holds on to water. The Induction Mate covers that I bought at the same time for a large central burner do not. I prefer the Induction Mate (no longer sold by Lakeland) as they are very easy to dry and have not left marks. On the instructions you say to clean the hob with HG Kitchen Hob Thorough cleanser. I took your advice and purchased some elsewhere. Oh my! No more mesh marks, in fact no more marks. Now that is a five star product! Will you bring it back? support_agent A note from the team Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback. If you do experience a waffle effect on the hob from using the protector this can be a result of the following - not washing the liner before initial use or if a boil over or spill has occurred while cooking. I'll be sure to pass on a bring back request for the Silicone Induction Hob Protectors (Induction Mate) and the HG cleaner.
"Not dishwasher safe" star star star star_border star_border In the product description these are listed as dishwasher safe but the packaging says they are not. This is annoying but not a deal breaker for me. Yet to use them in earnest but seem very expensive for what you get. Hopefully they will last for some time to justify the cost. support_agent A note from the team Thank you for your review. We're sorry for any disappointment caused. Our website will be updated shortly.
