This pair of attractive yet tough bamboo chopping boards will look great on any kitchen counter. With one small and one large board, they can be used on either side to avoid cross-contamination of different foods.

Technically a grass, bamboo shares many of the properties of wood. Fast-growing and unfussy about where it grows, bamboo is the ultimate sustainable wood source, growing to maturity in just three to six years and providing a steady income to its growers – so it’s a great alternative to traditional, slow-growing timbers which can take decades to mature.

Please note: bamboo is 15-20% harder than many hardwoods, so knife blades may need to be sharpened more often than when using traditional hardwood boards.
