When fermenting vegetables in Mason jars, it’s really important to keep them completely submerged below the brine in order to prevent mould from forming. Using these Pickle Pebble Fermentation Weights is an easy, yet effective, way of submerging veg. Simply sit one in the top of your Mason jar to weigh down your veg and keep it below the surface, ready to start fermenting.
Individually moulded from soda glass and inspected by hand to ensure they meet the highest quality standards, they’re heavier than many other glass or ceramic fermentation weights on the market, meaning one pickle pebble per jar is always enough, so you can have four jars on the go at once.
