Heat-conducting aluminium
Made from aluminium, the tray is designed to conduct heat from the surrounding air through your food, leaving it fully thawed and ready to cook in no time. And unlike your microwave, it won’t partially cook your food in some places and leave it still mostly frozen in others, as it defrosts food evenly.
Puddle-free defrosting
Any excess water is directed into channels on the surface of the tray, which can then simply be tipped into the sink, removing the inconvenience of watery worktop surfaces. Once it’s served its purpose, it can go straight into the dishwasher to reduce the washing-up pile.

I don't know how it does it but this defrosting tray works wonders ! Yesterday I had forgotten to get a couple of lamb chops out of the freezer prior to cooking them but no worries half an hour on the defrosting tray and they were nearly ready for cooking in the oven .
I always forget to get fish or meat out of the freezer early enough to defrost in time to cook so I thought this would be worth a try. It was definitely worth it. Fish particularly defrosts very quickly. Meat defrosts faster than without the tray and also without the partial cooking I always seem to end up with when I try to defrost meat in the microwave!
