Vacuvin Pineapple Corer, Slicer and Wedger

I purchased this pineapple corer to replace one that, after many years of excellent service finally broke. I used the new one and found the corer part worked OK but the wedger just made mush. In fact I didn't cut up the complete pineapple with the wedger, it was removed and the rest cut with a sharp knife as I had done with the original corer. Using a fresh pineapple, I tried again. Again mush was made. I will continue to use the corer, the wedger is likely to be discarded. The is a great disappointment as I had great trust in Lakeland's judgment of the products on sale.

I had one of these previously and this worked well but this ratchet system didn't work as well as my previous one. Found it easier to turn the pineapple than the handle. It did give uneven slices but think probably it's my arthritic hands not keeping an even pressure. Overall a good result and like the divider to cut the rings.

I bought this as sort-of a joke gift, for someone who has a pineapple dish they enjoy making. The pineapple prep was always the longest and messiest part, but this gadget makes light work of it! It has to live on top of the cupboard though, since it won't fit in the drawers.

I've just been given this as a present. Kudos to whoever came up with this design. It is brilliant - removes the skin and the core, as well as slicing horizontally all in one go. If you want to cut the slices into segments, it will do that as well! It did leave some pieces looking mushy round the edges, but I can live with that for the simplicity and effectiveness of the "core" task.

I bought this quite some time ago so I cannot rely on Lakeland’s excellent customer service. I used it once soon after I bought it and whilst not enamoured I kept it. Big mistake, second time of using the clips that secure the handle to the corer won’t hols making it unusable. Total waste of space. I only gave it one star for the one use I got out of it.
