Delicious they may be, but mangoes are really difficult to get into without doing yourself harm – unless you have a clever gadget like our Mango Splitter. With one of these in your utensil drawer, you can treat yourself to fresh mango much more often – in smoothies, salsas and salads as well with breakfast and desserts – and you won’t have to pay to have it pre-prepared!

How it works

Stand your mango on a chopping board stem side down, align the oval looped blades with the widest part of the fruit and press down firmly on the wide grips at each side. The stainless steel blades will glide around the disc-like seed and you’ll be left with two fleshy mango segments, barely any wastage, and undamaged fingertips.

The tasty orange flesh can be scooped out with a spoon, or you can cut a grid pattern into the flesh (being careful not to break the outer skin), push the mango ‘inside out’ so it looks like a hedgehog and carefully push or cut the cube shapes off the inedible peel.

For speedy clean-up, your mango cutter can go into your dishwasher.
