If you don’t want to keep using single-use plastic freezer bags, but haven’t found anything quite as handy to replace them, take a look at BioBag’s Eco Food & Freezer Bags. A fully biodegradable, more eco-friendly alternative to plastic, they give you all the convenience you’re used to, but mean you won’t be adding to the plastic waste ‘mountain’.
More earth-friendly than most
Because they’re made from biodegradable plant-based material, these bags break down completely after use, without releasing microplastics. So even though you can only use them once, they have much less impact on the environment than standard plastic freezer bags. And because they’re waterproof, you can use them to store anything you’d put in your normal freezer bags, including portions of meat, fish or fruit and veg.
Long(ish)-lasting
Unlike plastic freezer bags, these ones won’t last forever (which, of course, is part of the problem with plastic ones), but they’re fine to use in the freezer for up to 6 months, and can be used to store dry goods in your kitchen cupboards for up to 18 months.
