As the block has been cleverly designed to sit flat against a wall or tall kitchen unit, the knives lift out of their slots towards you so the block can live below wall-mounted cupboards while always allowing speedy access to the right knife for the task in hand. And when it comes to putting the knives away, they go into the deep slots with their sharp edges facing outwards so there’s no risk of blunting the blades, meaning they’ll stay sharp for longer.
