Everyone agrees, a ‘proper’ poached egg should be cooked in water for the best results, and the nifty M-Poach Microwave Egg Poacher from Joseph Joseph does just that – in mere seconds – taking all the usual stress out of getting a poached egg just right.
How it works
Half fill the M-Poach with water, crack an egg into it, then top up with water until the egg is submerged; gently pierce the top of the yolk, pop on the lid and place the egg poacher into your microwave for the recommended amount of time… A soft, runny yolk can be done in as little as 30 seconds, and a hard yolk can be ready in around 40. When you’ve lifted the poacher out of the microwave, the inner colander makes it super-simple to remove the egg from the hot water so you can serve up and tuck in. Delish!

I was sceptical when i bought this but its perfect, does exactly what it said. I followed the instructions and sure enough i had a poached egg with runny middle. Ideal for one person
I've tried every pan, poaching pockets, saucepan with hot water and vinegar, every method of poaching eggs available, this beats the lot. The instructions are clear and all size microwaves are listed for cooking times, the egg is perfectly cooked, it fits snugly away when not in use, so easy to clean, and it's fast.
I don't understand the negative reviews for this poacher. I heat the water slightly longer than the instructions, pop in the egg and fit the lid. A minute later I have a perfectly poached egg. It's easier to clean than a saucepan too. I'd give it 10 stars if I could.
I have had one of these for a few months and it is great. I get perfect poached eggs every time.
I'm struggling to understand the bad reviews, this works way better than my poach pods, it's quicker to use and cleaning is a breeze!
