"JJ egg microwave egg poacher" star star_border star_border star_border star_border Was very disappointed - have now tried four times and must admit the last attempt was the best as I did the pulse of ten seconds but am afraid I cannot recommend and am not sure I will be trying again. support_agent A note from the team This can take a bit of trial and error, but we’re sorry it proved disappointing.
"Absolutely Dreadful!" star star_border star_border star_border star_border I have followed the instructions which actually differ from the process shown in the video, Ive tried both and I get a yukky mess of a yoke with no egg white. I am absolutely baffled as to how this can have been reviewed as 'fantastic' - it simply does not work at all???? And it is actually the second Lakeland product I have bought, to try and get a solution for poached eggs. This was a complete waste of money and deserves no stars at all - but I see that is not an option :-( support_agent A note from the team Thank you for your review. We’re sorry this didn’t work as expected. Cooking times vary on microwave wattage and cooking in smaller bursts after the initial cooking time will help to ensure perfectly cooked eggs. We're pleased we could arrange a refund for you and you may wish to try our Poach Pods (12116) as an alternative.
"Shame" star star_border star_border star_border star_border I sometimes read reviews and wonder if it might not be partly the user’s error - but in this case I have to agree with the negative reviews. Like others I’ve followed the instructions to the letter - even followed Lakeland’s own advice to pierce the egg yolk - and just had my fourth ‘explosion’ and subsequent clean up. If ANYONE has a method which works please post it here - otherwise it’s going in the bin. Shame - I love poached a eggs and this seemed a perfect idea. Back to the poach pods - not real ‘poaching’, more steaming - but no explosions or cleaning up!! support_agent A note from the team Thank you for placing your review. I'm sorry to hear of your experience. Higher wattage microwaves will require less cooking time - it's also important the water doesn't dry up which allows the egg to dry out. I'll be in touch to help.
"IT'S FANTASTIC" star star star star star I've tried every pan, poaching pockets, saucepan with hot water and vinegar, every method of poaching eggs available, this beats the lot. The instructions are clear and all size microwaves are listed for cooking times, the egg is perfectly cooked, it fits snugly away when not in use, so easy to clean, and it's fast.
"Great little poacher" star star star star star I don't understand the negative reviews for this poacher. I heat the water slightly longer than the instructions, pop in the egg and fit the lid. A minute later I have a perfectly poached egg. It's easier to clean than a saucepan too. I'd give it 10 stars if I could.
