Joseph Joseph M-Cuisine M-Poach Microwave Egg Poacher

Product number: 26485

Everyone agrees, a ‘proper’ poached egg should be cooked in water for the best results, and the nifty M-Poach Microwave Egg Poacher from Joseph Joseph does just that – in mere seconds – taking all the usual stress out of getting a poached egg just right.

How it works

Half fill the M-Poach with water, crack an egg into it, then top up with water until the egg is submerged; gently pierce the top of the yolk, pop on the lid and place the egg poacher into your microwave for the recommended amount of time… A soft, runny yolk can be done in as little as 30 seconds, and a hard yolk can be ready in around 40. When you’ve lifted the poacher out of the microwave, the inner colander makes it super-simple to remove the egg from the hot water so you can serve up and tuck in. Delish!

Made from durable BPA-free polypropylene.

"Very disappointing"

star star_border star_border star_border star_border

I have shopped with Lakeland for many years and had never been disappointed but this egg poacher was no good. I tried several times, followed the instructions to a letter, and not once had a decent poached egg. I was surprised because at the time the only review was recommending the poacher. In the end, after so many poor results I binned it

We're sorry this didn't work well for you. It can take a bit of trial and error with the timings to get the egg how you'd like it. If you pierce the yolk and add a little water under the egg plus some on top this will also help. However the egg won't be quite the same as pan poached egg.

"M-cuisine m- poach microwave poacher"

This deserves no stars. It is absolute rubbish. All the egg white leaks out the bottom. This is a complete waste of money.

Thank you for placing your review. I'm sorry to hear of your experience - please return it to store along with your receipt and the staff will be happy to put things right for you.

"JJ egg microwave egg poacher"

Was very disappointed - have now tried four times and must admit the last attempt was the best as I did the pulse of ten seconds but am afraid I cannot recommend and am not sure I will be trying again.

This can take a bit of trial and error, but we’re sorry it proved disappointing.

"Absolutely Dreadful!"

star star_border star_border star_border star_border

I have followed the instructions which actually differ from the process shown in the video, Ive tried both and I get a yukky mess of a yoke with no egg white. I am absolutely baffled as to how this can have been reviewed as 'fantastic' - it simply does not work at all???? And it is actually the second Lakeland product I have bought, to try and get a solution for poached eggs. This was a complete waste of money and deserves no stars at all - but I see that is not an option :-(

Thank you for your review. We’re sorry this didn’t work as expected. Cooking times vary on microwave wattage and cooking in smaller bursts after the initial cooking time will help to ensure perfectly cooked eggs. We're pleased we could arrange a refund for you and you may wish to try our Poach Pods (12116) as an alternative.

"Shame"

star star_border star_border star_border star_border

I sometimes read reviews and wonder if it might not be partly the user’s error - but in this case I have to agree with the negative reviews. Like others I’ve followed the instructions to the letter - even followed Lakeland’s own advice to pierce the egg yolk - and just had my fourth ‘explosion’ and subsequent clean up. If ANYONE has a method which works please post it here - otherwise it’s going in the bin. Shame - I love poached a eggs and this seemed a perfect idea. Back to the poach pods - not real ‘poaching’, more steaming - but no explosions or cleaning up!!

Thank you for placing your review. I'm sorry to hear of your experience. Higher wattage microwaves will require less cooking time - it's also important the water doesn't dry up which allows the egg to dry out. I'll be in touch to help.
