Lakeland Twist and Chop Meat Chopper

Product number: 26470

Who knew there were so many people who shudder at the thought of preparing raw meat? Judging by all the requests we’ve had for something to hold uncooked chicken breasts and the like while they’re being chopped, far more than you’d think!

Eliminates the yuck factor!

You love chicken stir-fries but have to ask someone else to slice the chicken for you, or you end up buying the ready-diced stuff that costs a fortune… we get you. After loads of our customers (and colleagues) said they struggled getting hands-on with raw meat and poultry, our Buying Team set out to design a solution.

Easier, even slicing

Not just for those who don’t like touching raw meat during prep, this holder and slicing guide is helpful for cutting even pieces, too. Firstly, pop you raw chicken breast or other meat onto the base; made from chopping board-style material that’s kind to knives, it has lots of grippy prongs to keep the food securely in place. Put the domed lid on, then run a knife through the slots; lift the lid off, rotate 90° and pop back on. Run your knife through the slots again and you’ve just prepped evenly sliced chunks of meat without having to touch them.

Want thin slices? Cut through slots that are close together. For larger pieces or chunks, choose slots further apart.

Our exclusive design

Developed by our in-house design team, the Twist & Chop was perfected after being passed around our Windermere HQ, taken home and tested by our raw meat-a-phobes, so we know it passes muster, and makes meal prep much less icky.

Hygenic and easy to clean

Made from polypropylene with a grippy silicone ring on the base so it stays put, it’s really easy to clean, too – just pop it in the dishwasher and all traces of food will be washed clean away.

"Rubbish"

star star_border star_border star_border star_border

Prongs do not hold meat in place, it moves with the knife. The base got completely scored by the knife after the first use. Washing by hand is almost impossible as the prongs are really sharp, and will definitely pierce the fingertips of rubber gloves.

support_agent A note from the team

We’re very sorry to hear it didn't meet your expectations and will email shortly to help. A scrubbing brush is best for cleaning this one and the base is made of a knife friendly material so that it won’t blunt your knives. If the meat is moving then the knife might need sharpening.

"Don’t Buy"

I agree with Mrs Rafferty (who I don’t know). This the most nonsense piece of kit I’ve come across for the kitchen. I have a knife that would take your finger off by just looking at it and the chicken just slithered about. There’s not enough holding the meat in place. Ended up taking the cover off and slicing as normal, holding it with my hand. Thank you Lakeland for trying.
