With a nod to their 125-year heritage, Ball took inspiration from their original jars when creating this quartet of Vintage Blue Preserving Jars, and we think it’s a wonderful way to mark a milestone anniversary. They’d look glorious full of preserves and lined up on a shelf, and are brilliant for decorative retro-style storage, too.
Too pretty for preserves?
Of course, you could use them for their intended purpose and fill them with delectable jams, chutneys and preserves, but when they’re this lovely, we think you’ll be coming up with a host of unique ways to put them on display. How about… using them as vases for flowers; storing dried beans and pasta on a kitchen shelf; giving crafty bits and bobs a home; holding LED candles or taking the place of your tea and coffee caddies? You could even use them to gift your home-made preserves – but you won’t be blamed for thinking they’re too pretty to part with!

But if you do decide to fill them jam, the traditional 2-part screw-and-band lid ensures an air- and watertight seal, so the contents will stay perfectly fresh long after your jam- or chutney-making session.

The jars are both microwave and dishwasher safe for added convenience, letting you easily get them clean to store more of your delicious preserves. With a large 946ml capacity, we’re sure there will be plenty of jam to last.
